actually i do like the crossbones, but what annoys me is the marketing campaign… i think harley has forgotten their roots… they are trying to capitalize on the outlaw image while distancing themselves from it at the same time… i dont think i would buy another harley but i would build my own next time because in my opinion, harley sells you an unfinished bike… i really like the new xr1200 though that is the best thing they have done in years

At one point during their existence they had a problem with the forks bending on rough roads but it’s since been changed. So if you like it, get it. It’s just not my cup of tea.

hey i have a harley davidson crossbones which is awsome and im thinking about getting a diffrent fender and how do you guys think a skull headlight would look with coffin saddle bags that i might try and get made
like the front it shows some old days style. but the rear fender screams up to date. the bike is a mix of modern and old, it just didn’t flow right. wille g missed the mark. he needs to let the designers do their jobs. but over all it shows harley is trying to listen now, instead of telling us what we want. japan listened, money talks. i love the look of ww2 and post ww2 harleys, and hope to see some more styling cues from eras between 1920 and 1950’s.

The rear fender is all wrong.
A full rear fender, Indian Scout style, would have been just right.
Also, did I miss somethnig or does the bike have only one disc up front?
Either she needs fork braces or two discs, else in heavy braking the front fork WILL twist.
I dunno man I see whatcha mean about the rear fender and that it IS a mix of modern and old, but thats what I love about HD - you can turn a bike into somethin you want to look a certain way. I think it flows but in a different sort of way. I’d DEFINITELY drop those bars down maybe do some buckhorn style bars but overall I think it shows promise in a new direction.
