When buying a car which has been previously owned by one or more people you will need to be sure that you are buying with confidence. The ideal solution is to buy from a car dealership which is part of a multi-franchise company. These dealerships work in close partnership at a nationwide level, as such a vast choice of quality cars are readily available.

If you need finance the dealerships are in a position to offer affordable deposits and repayment terms. Take advantage of 0% finance offers to save money. The great thing about arranging finance with the company directly is that you can find a car you like, inspect it and take it for a test drive, the dealership will complete all the necessary paperwork and provide you with the finance details in a friendly and informative way. It should be realised that terms and conditions will apply to any finance application. If you are browsing online, main dealers may be able to provide a finance quote via their website.

A good place to start your search of a quality previously owned car is online. The main dealers will have links on their sites to other dealerships-providing a wide range of cars to suit every budget.

To make life easier you can browse through the full range of cars available, refining your search to make of car, model and price range. One click will take you to a detailed page dedicated to the particular car you want to find out more information on. The page will provide you with the manufacturing details of the car-make, model, how many miles on the clock, engine size, fuel type , transmission etc. There will also be an overview of the specification, proving relevant and informative information which includes how many previous owners there have been, if it has been franchised approved, the full franchise history, whether a full service check and multi point inspection has taken place. Here you will also be able to find out if the car has any manufacture’s warranty still remaining which can be transferred to you. Photographs of the car, taken from various positions, are also included on the site page.

As you can see browsing online has many benefits. Test drives can also be booked online. Once you have highlighted a few cars you like, simply add them to a shortlist. You will then be able to quickly recall the cars included-a great way to save time and lessen frustration!

Buying with confidence is a very important factor. Be very cautious and give serious consideration before buying from a private seller. There are many thousands of stolen cars being put up for sale online or on local ads pages. They may be cheaper but you will not have the same confidence. It is unlikely that you will have any recourse once you have parted with your money should the car breakdown or be confiscated if it turns out that it is stolen or has outstanding credit. The adage ‘let the buyer beware’ will definitely apply.

You will have more legal safeguards and consumer protection if you buy a quality used cars from a car dealership.

Used Car Dealers: How to Win a Fight with the Dealership

If you are planning to buy a vehicle but have insufficient budget, it would be wise if you would settle to buy a used auto.

For quite some time, many buyers of such cars could attest that if done properly and if the choice of used vehicle is made wisely, used car purchase would not just be practical, but also highly economical and wise. However, you also have to make sure you would not be conned by the used car dealer.

The ability to outsmart a scheming and dishonest used car dealer would be your greatest challenge when you settle to buy a used auto. Issues and setbacks about the quality and overall condition of the used vehicle you are buying would be lessened if not totally eliminated just by making sure you are getting the best deals from the used car dealer.

As you all know, used car dealers always aim to outwit you. They would do anything to make a used auto look spectacular and attractive to you. In the process, a dealer would always set a goal to set a high price for the car purchase, something you would definitely want to avoid.

Here are some useful tips that would definitely help you win a fight with the used car dealer.

1. Do not get easily motivated by the strong descriptions used by the agents of the used car dealer. Always remember that such agents are trained to become savvy and persuasive salespersons.

They would always make use of good and convincing adjectives like racy, sporty, trendy, fast, powerful and others, just to make their point and finally convince you to purchase a specific used auto model. Most of the time, the good and attractive descriptions do not appropriately fit the used vehicle.

2. Do a little background check about the car model you are eyeing to buy. You can secure from the used car dealer the history and ownership record of the old car.

If you would be wise enough, you can properly analyze the repair and maintenance history of the car. At the same time, make sure the ownership documents and titles are clear so that ownership would be fully transferred to you upon car purchase.

3. Inspect the used auto properly and thoroughly. If you can bring along with you an expert or a well competent mechanic, the better. Remember that a used car dealer would not openly admit and reveal hidden damages and discouraging records and history.

You would have to unveil and find those facts yourself. And you could easily do that simple check through a mechanic. He should be able to know and tell you an estimate about how many times the used auto has already been serviced in its lifetime.

4. Avoid ‘recall’ and ‘lemon’ used vehicles. Recalled used autos had been pulled out by the manufacturer or distributor due to technical and mechanical issues. A lemon car has problems and damages that could never ever be remedied or fixed.

5. Finally, test-drive the car. If it feels good to ride and drive it, the used auto surely would be useful to you. Otherwise, find another model or moreover, find a better and more trusted used car dealer.

Toyota Mum on Reports of Charges Dropped in Probe of Neglected Recalls

A major Japanese business daily reported in Tuesday that prosecutors have decided against filing charges against three Toyota officials under investigation on distrust of avoiding recalls that may have led to an accident.

Paul Nolasco, Toyota Motor Corporation’s spokesman, declined to comment on The Nikkei report saying that the company was not yet officially notified of any decision. Prosecutors in Kumamoto, in southern Japan where the accident happened, also declined to comment. Toyota has denied the wrongdoing in the case.

Without citing sources, the Nikkei reported that investigators had decided that it would be hard to move ahead with professional negligence charges in the 2004 head-on crash.

Police said that when the steering failed in a Toyota Hilux Surf sport utility vehicle, 5 people were injured in that accident. The failed steering caused the vehicle to swing out of control into the wrong lane. Whether Toyota had avoided making a needed recall for eight years is the core of the investigation. Company officials are accused of being aware of the steering problem from 1995 or 1996, with reports of problems initially spreading in 1992. Until October 2004, Toyota did not carry out a recall on the model. The giant Japanese car maker said that the recall was for a problem part used in the steering system that could break. Last year, prosecutors took over a police investigation that accused the three officials supervising quality control at the automaker. Their names were not exposed but Toyota has said at least one of them has left the company.

Maker of quality Toyota A/C compressor, Toyota reaches worldwide rapidly growing sales. In the first quarter, it surpassed General Motors Corp. in global sales and production, the first time that has happened in a quarter.

Toyota has a strong reputation for flawless quality, but that image has been damaged a bit lately due to series of recalls. As a result, some doubts have been raised whether it can maintain quality standards as its global sales expand rapidly. But the company executives have repeatedly expressed concerns about sliding quality and have promised to strengthen quality controls.

Mitsubishi Motors Corp. was also into a scandal involving recall cover-ups, which has taken a huge toll on the car maker. Mitsubishi Motors acknowledged in 2000 that it had been systematically hiding auto defects from authorities for more than twenty years. The company disclosed in 2004; it had failed to come clean in 2000, and has carried out a downpour of recalls.

Nissan Motor Co. is also clashing up quality controls, emphasizing the need for transparency. In June, a new Nissan center in Japan to check into defects and to work closely with suppliers was opened.

A Car Dealer Marketing Lesson

A common problem with many coaching websites is that they don’t effectively lead your prospect towards becoming your client. Many just function as an “online brochure” in which they do nothing more than list credentials, contact information, and perhaps a bio.

This kind of website is okay if you want to be able to rattle-off a website address on your business card simply to say that you have one.

But, the chances are great that you won’t get much from your website because there isn’t anything that leads visitors to take action toward becoming your client.

So what should you do?

You need to watch the car dealers (… but not the used car dealers)!

What they do is so simple but ingenious.

Think about your dream car. Think back to the last time you were either watching a TV commercial or looking at a brochure that featured your dream car.

Recall how your mind started to fill with visions of life with your new favorite car - taking a relaxing drive for fresh air on a sunny Sunday afternoon, racing along windy open roads in a sports car that clamps onto the road, or cruising through town in a lux-ury car feeling high class.

The vision is powerful and motivating. But even more powerful are just a few words that pop out at you as you watch the commercial - “Test Drive Today!”

It’s just a few words, but they make all the difference. They lead you from desire to action. They move you from your comfy seat towards your dreams.

At the dealership, you test drive the car and before you know it, you begin to figure out the financing aspects. Lo and behold, you are on your way to a new car!

So, back to selling your coaching wares.

When you have a prospect that is considering your services, whether you’ve met them while out networking or someone referred them to you, give them a simple, easy and motivating way to take action.

Give them a fr-ee “test drive” of your coaching services.

It helps them learn what your services are like, if they haven’t ever been coached before, or have been coached in a different style. It helps them gain trust and familiarity with you.

Most importantly, it gives them a tasty helping of coaching. Afterwards, the feeling of success, or overcoming a challenge, or getting clarity, or eliminating confusion, or feeling confident about the future … will help get their emotions going.

They will have more trust and familiarity with your services and will move along your sales path.

Two other common types of “try before you buy” things that you can do are:

Give a fr-ee assessment. By making a small evaluation of their situation and giving some recommendation, they can taste what it’s like to be helped by you. You can automate this too, to cost you virtually no time.

Give a fr-ee article discussing their problem and how to solve it. A well written article that takes them through their problem to a resolution will give them an experience of success with you - a good way to convince them.

So take it from the car dealers. Let your prospects experience an exhilarating drive around your coaching racetrack and let them see and feel a sample of driving with you.

After their fr-ee ride, you’ll be there, ready to take them across to the next starting gate - your coaching program!

FR-EE Test Drive!

Take a fr-ee test drive of working with me. I offer a FR-EE 20 minute consultation to discuss your situation, answer your questions, and ask a few of my own. There’s no obli-gation and I don’t bite hard.

Kidde Smoke Alarms Recalled

Before we go to sleep at night, we lock our doors and shut off our lights. We never, however, think that while our families are dreaming a fire will start and our fire alarms will fail to warn us. Smoke alarms are crucial necessities in order to protect our families from the devastating effects of fire. We rely on them every night and rarely does it cross our minds that they could somehow fail. Defective products are recalled every single day in this country by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and fire alarms are no exception.

Unfortunately, however, smoke alarms often do fail. The failure of fire alarms to go off during a fire can be attributed to many factors, including:

· Failure to change the batteries. Batteries in standard smoke alarms should be changed every eight years.

· Some smoke alarms contain long-lasting batteries, in which case the entire device needs to be replaced. Your unit’s instruction book should have advice on how often to change the device and whether or not the device you bought has long-lasting batteries.

· If your smoke alarm contains batteries as a back-up, the batteries need to be checked every other month and the entire alarm should be replaced every eight years.

· Always check your alarms. Regardless of the type of alarm you have, or whether or not it even uses batteries (as opposed to being connected to the household electricity supply), you should test your alarms every few months to be sure they are working properly.

Recently the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued recalls for the SKA700 Kidde Smoke and Fire Alarm made by Walter Kidde Portable Equipment. The Consumer Product Safety Commission advises that anyone who has purchased a fire alarm on or after July 10, 1992 to check the label and make sure it is not involved in the recall. Fire safety is something that should not be neglected and it takes both a smoke alarm and an informed consumer to assure that these alarms alert you at the first sign of a fire.

It is the job of the Consumer Product Safety Commission to alert consumers when products are defective, but if you have been hurt or killed because of a defective product you could be entitled to compensation.
