It certainly does! 6th on that bike can be thought of as overdrive, thats where you are going to get your gas mileage. If I was just going fast, I never shifted to sixth until about 70-75 mph.

Sorry about the accident. I have a identical 2008. Can’t say I love it, it does not ride like a Harley. I had never driven a bike with the evolution motor before I bought the 2008. It runs great, yes, but there are almost no vibrations. It feels like I’m riding a Yahama. Also, the bike comes with very quiet pipes. Fuel injection means the motor runs very lean, so it is prone to overheat in the hot Texas weather.

Damn, best wished for a quick recovery. I got cut off on the highway a month ago and my Shadow was totaled. No lasting injuries thankfully, just lots of bruises and a limp on the right side for now. Good luck and saddle up when you can!

hey yall im 6′ 2″ and roughly around 310. do any of yall know a good model of HD that wont have a problem with my wait and has forward mounted pegs/controls? and also fairly inexpensive. ive only been riding for half a year or so and im tired of my dirtbike.

A nice used Road King ought to treat you well. You can usually find them on Craigslist for under $10k
I’m glad you weren’t killed. In the small town I live in. A elderly man was killed by a guy in a truck when he drove off the right hand side of the road and overcompensated right into the man.
